5th Week

         
Floorwalk Details
In our 5th week, FLOORWALK task is given to us. Floorwalk is checking all the working station, checking if the stations are working correctly, if the stations hardware are complete or if the stations are having problems with some important applications/software.
           We also check if the station can go to their site "ces.concentrix.com" or it can check the IP address through browser "10.10.1.15/myip.php".
          We create user account in some station in AMAZON department, we create administrator account to allow us to install important application. Installers are stored at share drive, therefore we have to access it using the administrator account.

              In our last week as intern at Concentrix, we still have lots to learn about how MIS work as an IT department and how would IT work at the field like Concentrix or more like what we call center field. It is a great experience for as intern to work and at the same time to learned at Concentrix, because we are preparing ourselves to the near future as an official employee or worker. Sooner or later we are going to find work and pursue our dreams, and On-the-job training is always part of it as an experience.                Our last week was great, every week we had new learnings. We shifted our work time into graveyard shift (10pm-7am). The common work in this shift is answering calls, we fixed some problems and complaints of the agents. 1st Week

Software that we install in every computer unit        On our first week at Concentrix, there are a lots of learning already. They teach us how their networks/networking works and its processes. Also how they maintain it, because networking on their type of business is very important. In here, the communication between administrator and other working employees are much faster.        In the first few days we try the port mapping. Port Mapping is detecting some problems on networks/internet to the server. After that we installed SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection), Tight VNC etc. in every computer unit on Net Gear. We also provide additional computer monitor on Net Gear each unit now must have 3 monitors. On our last day we list down all lacking equipments so that they can provide it next week.

2nd Week

              On the 2nd week of our duty here in Concentrix, we made a lot of things. On Monday, we did the floor audit, also we reformat some computer unit on NETGEAR in the training section. We also did the cloning after reformatting and then we install some important software in every unit. After that we clone hard drive using Acronis and other software that will fit in depends on what kind of hard drive we are going to use.               Within this week, we also did the port mapping. Me and my colleagues traced where the problem was, connected to networks. After that, we made networking and IP addressing lecture with Sir Dan. He thought us how important IP addressing in the business like theirs.
